Sheila's Progress

I am a SAHM to my 2 beautiful children and a wife to my wonderful husband. I am a Christian, I love the Lord. I TRY (and fail a lot) my best to do all things to please Him. It is about time to get control of my weight. I've let it go way to far, and now I'm suffering for it. I'm unhealthy, can't find clothes that fit, and at times, just feel gross. I am not setting a good example for my family at all.
There comes a time to realize though that by taking control, you have to let go. So I have to GIVE UP my control over this, and let the Lord lead me. Isn't it funny, we trust Him with the most important thing, our Souls, yet at times we have trouble trusting him with things like our Time, Money, or Health-in my case.
My main tool will be Prayer. I need remember this. I've know for a long time that this part of my life was something I need to give up to the Lord, yet I kept holding onto it, which in turn made things worse.
So here we go! I have a lot of weight to lose. I am starting at about 235.4. I have goals, or milestones I'd like to reach. I guess the first one being to get below 200lbs. The next will be my halfway at 185. Lets get there before we go any further!
For now I'm planning to change my eating habbits. Start eating healthier foods, more veggies, leaner meats. I plan to lower my portions as well.
After all that, I will need to get a little movement in right? I have some Biggest Loser DVD's that I plan to use for now.
